Privacy policy

Last updated 14 October 2026

Ayana AI (www.astroayana.com) is free, open-source Vedic astrology. In short: there are no accounts, we don't keep your birth details on our servers, and the charts you save stay in your own browser. Because the code is open, you can check everything below in the source code.

What stays in your browser

These are kept in your browser's local storage on your device. They are never uploaded to us and don't follow you to other devices. You can remove a chart (and everything saved with it) from the name menu → Manage charts, turn off AI answers from the name menu, or clear everything by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

What passes through our servers (and isn't kept)

Our code doesn't log the content of requests. Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, time and page requested) for a short time to run and protect the service.

The AI company you choose

Written answers come from an AI company you pick — for example Google (Gemini), OpenRouter, Anthropic (Claude) or OpenAI — under your own account and that company's terms and privacy policy. Free AI accounts may let the company use what you send (including birth details) to improve its models; paid accounts generally don't. With “Connect in one click”, your browser talks to OpenRouter directly to set up your key; our server never sees that exchange.

Cookies, analytics and ads

Ayana AI sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics or tracking. It doesn't show ads today. If ads are added (for example Google AdSense), the ad provider uses cookies to show and measure ads; this page will name the provider and how to control personalised ads, visitors in the EU and UK will be asked for consent first, and your birth details will never be shared with advertisers — they stay in your browser.

Children

Ayana AI isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect anything from them — we don't collect personal data at all.

Your choices

Since we hold no personal data, there's nothing for us to export or delete — everything is in your browser and under your control. Questions about this policy? Contact us.
