Questions about your day
What is tara bala?
The day's nakshatra (the Moon's star) counted from your birth star, in groups of nine: Janma, Sampat, Vipat, Kshema, Pratyak, Sadhana, Naidhana, Mitra and Parama Mitra. Tradition treats Vipat, Pratyak and Naidhana as unhelpful days to start things, and your own birth star (Janma) as mixed.
What is Chandrashtama?
The roughly two and a quarter days each month when the Moon passes through the 8th sign from your Moon sign. Tradition advises keeping plans light and leaving big decisions for later. Ayana computes each stretch to the minute for your Moon sign.
How is the colour of each day chosen?
From two classical checks at the middle of the day's daylight: the day's star from your birth star (tara bala) and the Moon's place from your Moon sign (chandra bala). Chandrashtama or an unhelpful star makes it a day to go gently; a helpful star with the Moon well placed, a supportive day; anything else, a steady one. The rule is ours, written down, and the same for everyone.
Does this predict what will happen today?
No. These are traditional readings of the day, shown for reflection — useful for choosing when to start something, not a forecast. Ayana's tests on documented lives found no timing signal in classical rules, and we say so on How it works.
