Questions about yogas & Shadbala
What is a yoga in astrology?
A yoga is a specific combination of planets — by sign, house or relationship — that classical texts associate with particular tendencies, such as Raja yogas for status or Dhana yogas for wealth. Ayana checks your chart against a catalogue of about 284.
What is Shadbala?
Shadbala is the six-fold strength of a planet: positional, directional, temporal, motional, natural and aspectual strength, added up in units called rupas. Ayana shows each part and flags the ones where different software legitimately disagrees.
Why might another site show a different strongest planet?
Two of the six strengths depend on conventions that vary between traditions and tools. Ayana marks which parts agree across tools and which don't, rather than presenting one answer as the verdict.
