Yogas: which one, and when
78% of charts have a Raja yoga, so “you have one” says little. Ayana shows which one, how strong it is, and when your planetary periods switch it on.
What we don't claim
We tested whether the classical timing rules predict real life events, on 185 public figures with certified birth times. They did no better than chance. So Ayana shows your periods with exact dates for reflection, not as predictions.

Questions
Is Ayana's AI trained on astrology? +
No — the AI model is not trained or fine-tuned. Instead it is guided: every answer is given the facts the engine computed for your chart, plus a knowledge base written from the classical texts of Jyotiṣa that says how to describe them. Each knowledge section is measured on sample charts before it ships, and the before-and-after results are published on this page.
How do you know the answers are right? +
The numbers are computed, not written by the AI: positions from the Swiss Ephemeris, checked against independent references. For the words, we check whether answers agree with what the engine computed — for example, wrong claims about where Saturn and Jupiter are fell from 46 % to 0 % once the engine's transit facts were added. Samples are small (20 charts per test) and were measured with one AI model; others may vary.
Does Ayana predict when things will happen? +
No. We tested the classical timing rules on 185 public figures with certificate birth times and found they did not place life events — marriages, children, career peaks — better than chance. So Ayana shows your periods and transits with exact dates, and which yogas your current period activates, as a way to reflect on your life, not as a forecast.
What does "a yoga is active in this period" mean? +
Classically, a yoga gives its results mainly while one of its planets runs a Mahadasha or sub-period. Ayana's engine checks each yoga's planets against your running periods and shows which ones are active now and in which years the others come up — computed, not guessed.
Which AI does Ayana use? +
The one you connect: a free Google AI key, OpenRouter's free models, or any provider's key. The prompts and knowledge are tuned and measured with Claude; other models may vary. Whatever the model, it only receives computed facts and is told never to calculate or change a number.
