What is Sade Sati?
Sade Sati (“seven and a half”) is the stretch of about 7½ years when Saturn passes through three signs in a row: the one before your Moon sign, your Moon sign itself, and the one after. Saturn spends about 2½ years in each, so it comes round roughly every 30 years — two or three times in a lifetime.
The three phases
Rising (Saturn in the sign before your Moon) tends to touch spending, sleep and letting go. Peak (Saturn over your Moon) is the heaviest, touching mood, health habits and self-image. Setting (Saturn in the sign after) touches savings, family and speech. Saturn's backward (retrograde) loops make the phases overlap by a few months.
